evaluating the crucible with macbeth essay
My practical work in The fall of 2002 was for choice 2 . it had been a piece of scripted performance and was depending on the theme of witches as well as the supernatural.
My contribution towards the performance was obviously a character referred to as Marry Warren. I had to aid a character named John Proctor; this is because Get married to Warren is attempting to get out of the number of girls. Get married to Warren in that case betrays Ruben Procter and joins the group of young ladies again, due to Abigail was making a fool out of Get married to Warren.
To help me personally in my job, I looked for information inside the video. I also go through a play called ‘Macbeth’, written by William Shakespeare. ‘Macbeth’ was set in Ireland in the 17th centaury. The system of government during the time was that of any monarchy in which the king makes the laws and punishes persons. The people could fight for the king. The culture during those times was is which people believed in witches and the supernatural. Witches were seen as prophets, they were highly effective symbols for soldiers.
Yet , ‘The Crucible’ was emerge Salem, Massachusetts, USA in the 17th centaury. The system of government at the time was that of theocracy in which persons believed in the bible and followed it. The deceiving appearances of werewolves were the first primary incident. The witches were trying to adjust Macbeth. The prophecy from the play advises people trying to find signs to steer them.
On the other hand, the genre for ‘The Crucible’ can be described as historical fictional works melodrama. The theme to get ‘The Crucible’ is deceptiveness, supernatural and hysteria. The deception in ‘The Crucible’ is that there are no real witches which added to the hysteria. Unnatural in ‘The Crucible’ is that witches looked as people working with the devil also the location people are afraid of what werewolves symbolised. The hysteria in ‘The Crucible’ was once claims began people feared satan had came. This meant their proper were ignored in order to find the reason for problem.
The performance style for ‘Macbeth’ is to some extent classical. Macbeth is a war hero however suddenly really loves having powers. Facial expressions and human body movement were very important. Elizabethian theatre did not have any dramatic light or sound effects. Therefore most of the acting and events will be exaggerated. However, ‘The Crucible’ performance design is time-honored. As the genre is usually mellow drama, the operating has to be exaggerated to capture the hysteria. In ‘The Crucible’ Abigail considerably changes her acting design to meet her needs. Abigail often makes clear just how she feels or over exaggerated her movement to create her purpose clear.
