At first glance as of this book, you should think it has nothing to state because of its boring covering. However , this book is precisely the opposite. Stevan Javellana provided to his readers the Filipino lifestyle, dreams and aspirations and just how it has been shattered and demolished.
With no more than a blink of an eye, a seemingly straightforward story with regards to a typical life of the Filipinos revolved to a nightmare. Javellana recounts to us all that contain happened if he was still fresh with the occurrence of the key character Carding. Carding is an easy and diligent young man who have straightforward goal in life. He wanted to marry and live a happy and normal existence. However , his dream was shattered when the Japanese came up and colonized the Philippined.

The Japanese came up and they mistreated and killed many persons, worst of they maltreated and demoralized women. This kind of changed lifespan of Carding completely.
