Albert Camus was born within the 7th of November 1913 in Algeria from an italian father and a Spanish mother. His father perished in the Initial World Warfare (seriously injured in the struggle of the Limon, he died a month later), so that Camus was raised by simply his mother and never knew his father. Camus spent his years as a child in Alger, in his grandmother’s house, in which he received his first education. Later on, this individual passed onto to primary school within the tutorship of Louis German born, to whom Camus will endure a strong honor his whole life and to whom he stated in his popularity speech upon winning the Nobel selling price in 1957. It was German born that initial encouraged Albert Camus in the studies and who certain him to pursue a higher education in the Algiers University. During his time with the university, this individual founded even now, du Effort in Algiers, where his first enjoy, Revolte dans le marché de les Asturies, was placed on scene. After earning a diploma in idea, Camus quickly established himself as one of the perhaps most obviously writers in the 20th century with books like The Unfamiliar person (1946), The Plague (1948) and The Misconception of Sisyphus (1955). Copy writer and novelist, philosopher, head of the absurd school of thought, playwright, actor and translator, Camus was one of the important literary figure of the 20th century. His your life came to a tragic end on the fourth of January 1960, if he was wiped out in a motor vehicle accident together with his friend and publisher, Michel Gallimard. Ironically enough, Camus acquired intended to go back to Paris by train, because of his dislike for automobiles, and an excellent return rail ticketed was found in his pocket or purse.

Camus’s philosophical conceptions start with the conundrum between the nonsensicality of an existence in an illogical world as well as the fact that an individuals is a realistic being and, even more so, a conscious realistic being that understands this silly. Camus’s gentleman is a great absurd man, that is, one who has had the revelation in the absurd globe and is facing several alternatives. Camus sees three: physical suicide, faith (as a sort of philosophical suicide) and the rise ? mutiny. In his judgment, however , the first two remain bare and coward ways of evasion, so there is certainly only one kept: the rise ? mutiny. In the initial stage (as it is in the Myth of Sisyphus for example), the revolt is usually on a personal, interior level, at a conscience level for each individual in part. Nevertheless , with his upcoming works, he sees that the kind of rise ? mutiny will have zero chances of accomplishment, so he proposes a collective mutiny against the ridiculous. The Problem is an excellent sort of this next level of Camus’s pondering and tips. The subject of the novel is pretty simple: one particular morning, the population from the metropolis discovers rats (as forever in Camus’s works of fiction, the ludicrous appears suddenly, without any warning. It is also the truth here: the first encounter with the mice is in a block and no proof of why they will appear. In the same way, in The Unfamiliar person the ludicrous appears abruptly in the form of a great Arab figure on the seashore. Again, simply no explanation, simply no motivation with out signs of the appearance) and soon the plague devastates the city. The plague is a type of the ludicrous, the reaction against it (as proposed by simply Camus) has to be collective: the whole population mobilizes itself against the absurd enemy. The result itself is only significant as a further characterization with the absurd while Camus sees it: the plague vanishes just as quickly and without any signs as it had appeared. I have described briefly a few of Camus’s philosophical conceptions in order to be able to easily fit into the fictional current of existentialism. The existentialism puts the human being in the heart of its getting pregnant, as does Camus, and tries to solve and analyze male’s reactions in a hostile and absurd community.

The Myth of Sisyphus signifies the assumptive work from which all his novels had been written, since it comprises a lot of
